Wal-Mart processing

Does anyone know where Kodachrome Super-8 film is processed for Wal-Mart? Since I work in a Wal-Mart this would be very convenient for me.

I think the Wal-mart stuff ends up going to Switzerland through Kodak. If you drudge through some of the older postings you'll find a lot of information on this. It seems like some Wal-Marts have an easier time with this than others.

i think if the wal-mart is in the western states, it goes to fuji in arizona, the to dwayne's photo in kansas city. dwayne's is the only k-14 process left in the states.

I live near New Orleans and once sent a roll of PLUS X B&W Super8 through Wal-Mart for processing. Well, they don't offer processing for that type film so they returned it with a note explaining. The note came from Fuji in Arizona. So at least in my area I guess that is where they send it.

Nut what about the Fuji processing center in Arizona...they used to do Kodachrome, I believe they still do.

Walmart definitely sends all Kodachrome to Fuji processing in Arizona. Turnaround is about a week. They do a great job!

According to the Super8 Directory, Fuji in AZ passes it all on to Dwane's in Kansas. There are but two places left on the planet that do Kodacrome. Dwane's and the Swiss lab.

Hey guys!

Ive answered this question many times before, but it always helps to clarify and misconceptions.
Walmart, just like many other places (Super8Sound, Yale Film and Labs, Target, Sam's Club) sent there Kodachrome 40 film to Dwaynes Photo (I think they are located in Kansas City).
Walmart will only charge you $4.88 a roll plus sales tax per roll. Sam's Club charges $4.28 a roll! Those are the cheapest prices around.
Most places will send out their shipments on Friday, and will recieve them the next Friday, so its a little more than a week turn around, not bad.
When you go to Walmart, dont ask the employees for assistance, they wont have a clue. Just go the drop off box, fill out the envelope, and in the "special instructions area" write down "movie film cartridge".
Its a 2 week sendout, just like slide-film (Dwaynes processes that too) so....when you go to pick up your film, to them it was a two week send out. Make sure to have your stubb.
Ive never had a problem, and it beats paying the nine bucks Dwayne's will charge you plus the shipping and handling.
Cant beat it!

I didn't say they did a whole story, I think they just mentioned the fact that Dwayne's bought the processors.
